Your Chiropractor

David McGonagle is a Pennsylvania native,
hailing from Delaware County.
He attended Albright College
in Reading, Pa where
he earned a bachelors degree in biology. After working as a technician in
vaccine and genetics laboratories, Dr. Dave found his calling in
chiropractic.
Dr. Dave is an alumnus of Life College (now Life
University),
School of Chiropractic. He
graduated in March of 1996 with honors (cum laude) with
a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Soon
after, Dr. Dave moved to Hellertown and worked for Myers
Chiropractic for a few months
before striking out on his own. He
created Hellertown Family
Chiropractic in October of
that same year, and opened an office in Hellertown. Dr.
Dave bought a home on Main
Street in
1999, and then ran a home-office for several years.
In the Year 2000, Dr. Dave married Hellertown native Mary (Lewis) McGonagle
and started a family soon after. Although
the family has moved out of the second floor apartment, they are only
minutes away and are in the office frequently getting their spines checked
(and having family fun).
Dr. Dave can be found throughout the community giving presentations on
chiropractic, health and life to small organizations and large corporations
alike. You may see him speaking with folks about chiropractic at the
Hellertown Community Day, the Saucon Valley Farmer’s Market and just
about anywhere he is given the chance to let people know the truth about
chiropractic. You may even find
him at a local hospital once in a while checking the spine of a practice members new
born baby!
The Office
Hellertown
Family Chiropractic is located at 221
Main Street (Route
412),
Hellertown. The office
resides on the main floor of an old colonial home built in the 1860’s. There
is off-street parking in the rear of the building with the back door used
as the main entrance. When you
enter the office, don’t be alarmed that there is no front
desk, no reception
area, and no receptionist. We
have found this to make the office more cost effective and time efficient.
The comfortable waiting room is the holding room where Dr. Dave will greet you when he is done adjusting the person on the
chiropractic table.
The office has a wood-burning stove to keep it cozy in the winter, and
central air to keep it cool in the summer. You
may notice there is only one room that has a door (aside from the
restroom). This is because we have an open-concept to the office. The
one room is for private conversations, for consultations and for moms who
want to nurse their babies in private. The
open-concept is because chiropractic should never be kept a secret.
You may notice photo albums around the office. They have
pictures of kids and families that have received chiropractic care over the
years. When you become a
practice member, if you permit it, we would like to put your family picture
on our WALL OF FAME. You
should check it out. You may
find some faces you know.
